Year 7: Smart Cells Criterion D: Evaluating

Evaluating

Strand 1: Outline simple, relevant testing methods, which generate data, to measure the success of the solution

  • Create a table (the 3 tables shown below) to show how you will test your final product(magazine) on a scale of 1 to 5.
  • Your product (the budget you have made ) will be rated by your client, your parent or dorm parent and your peer and given a rating based on the design specifications whether you fulfilled the design specifications that you created in Criterion B strand 1 or not.

Strand 2: Outline the Success of the Solution against the Design Specification

  • Use the scale to score each design specification from 1 to 5; 5 being the highest and 1 being the lowest.
  • The client, peer or the parent who is rating your product (budget made) should give fully detailed reasons/comments why he gave you a certain score for each of your work.

Strand 3: Outline how the solution could be improved

  • Explain in detail based on the rating from above how you could improve the solution/product(Budget).

Example

  • Based on the ratings that I got from my parent, my peers and myself, these are some of the improvements I can make on my budget.
  • I will improve my budget by generating pie charts and bar graphs which clearly shows the items that are going to be used during the trip. I will put different colors for different sections/categories of the budget (food, furniture, Instruments) so as to assist my client in easier identification of the different parts.

Strand 4: Outline the impact of the solution on the client/ target audience.
  • Show in a detailed manner how your product(Budget) impacted positively/negatively on your target audience/client.
  • You must explain how the solution you created has assisted the client to solve the initial problem he or she was facing in a detailed manner
  • N/B( It must be about the problem you had identified in Criterion A.)
Example
  • My Budget has assisted my client Mr. Kiprotich to be able to plan well for his wedding. He is know familiar of the items that he will need for his wedding and the amount of money that he will need in order to organize his wedding. As a result my client Mr. Kiprotich has become less stressed and he is now happier and delightfully looking forward for his wedding day whereby he will say “YES I DO” and start a family of his own.
